KF Kili Climb 2006

In October 2006, Oliver Barry and ten friends joined together to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest freestanding mountain on Earth, as a fundraising effort for KF. The group raised money through collections of pledges and donations based on a “per-meter” basis, which served to motivate the climbers to reach the summit. All climbers made amazing efforts to raise money for KF, a cause in which all climbers believed. The KF Kili Climb 2006 raised approximately $50,000 in donations, making it a success beyond anyone’s wildest imagination.

Moreover, everyone had a great time. Kilimanjaro proved to be challenging, cold, and windy. But it was also amazingly beautiful and rewarding. Please check out the pictures in this gallery for a window into the climbers’ journey and adventure.

KF is so grateful for all the climbers who participated and raised money. Our foundation is honored to have you all involved in this cause. Asante sana! Natasha sana! Zikomo kwambili! Thank you very much!
