Overview
The KF scholarship covers more than just tuition fees. KF is committed to providing each student with all resources necessary to succeed. Therefore, the scholarship also covers:
- Books
- School Supplies
- Boarding fees (most KF students are boarding students)
- International and National examination test fees
- Uniform
- Extra academic lessons
- Mentoring
- Community Service
- Work experience (job internships)
- Counseling and guidance for college/university preparation and applications
Furthermore, KF is dedicated to supporting and guiding our students throughout and after their secondary education. To this end, we have developed a program for KF students to gain work experiences through internships at corporations and organizations during school holidays, designed to introduce our students to the work environment and focus career interests.
KF has on-going relationships with colleges, universities and advanced scholarship programs, both within Zambia and abroad, with the intended purpose of guiding and assisting our students in obtaining a superior education and leadership skills even after secondary school.
Partner Schools
KF works in partnership with two of the best secondary schools in Lusaka: Pestalozzi Education Centre and Chalo Trust School. KF does not own or operate these schools. These partner schools were chosen for their academic excellence, well-rounded curricula, and commitment to the success of their students.
Chalo Trust School
“Our mission is to create an environment of order, truth, care and concern where students of diverse economic, cultural and spiritual backgrounds live together and prepare for tertiary education by beginning the habit of life long learning, personal and spiritual development.”

Pestalozzi Education Centre
“The Pestalozzi approach to education aims to develop children into well balanced and responsible adults by fostering their “Head, Heart and Hands” – that is, academic knowledge, moral and social awareness, and vocational skills. In keeping with this, schools chosen for the programme have a track record not only of academic excellence, but also of demonstrating social commitment, and providing practical and vocational skills training.”

“I joined the KF mentorship programme in 2016 and have enjoyed every moment of it. I mentor a bright young girl called Lusungu whom I have had the pleasure to share my knowledge with and simultaneously learn from her as well. It’s been great to play a part in her development over the past two years and I am sure by the time she leaves the KF programme she will be a well-rounded young lady ready to conquer the world.”

Community Service
KF requires all students to create and implement community service projects.
KF students identify needs within their home or school communities and design projects to tackle diverse issues ranging from education and literacy to public health and environmental concerns. These projects instill a sense of responsibility in our scholars and a long-term connection to their communities.
Work Experience
During Grades 10 and 12, each KF student has an internship experience at an organization in a field of interest. This experience enables KF students to explore and expand their career interests and build professional skills.
The following is a growing list of those impressive organizations, companies and institutions that have partnered with KF to offer valuable work experience to the KF students:
