Tina is a first generation American born to Greek immigrants who believed strongly in the value of a first rate education. Tina was taught that the combination of education and hard work was the best means of escaping poverty and achieving happiness and success in life. To ensure that Tina would not forget her roots, her parents enrolled her in a private school in Astoria, New York, St. Demetrios School, where the study of Greek language, history and religion were an integral part of the curriculum. After attending the Bronx High School of Science, Tina attended Barnard College where she majored in Economics, graduating in 1986. She completed her MM from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management in 1991 with concentrations in Finance and Marketing. Currently she is employed by Zephyr Management, L.P., a pioneer in African private equity investing, and has been with the firm for 15 years working primarily in the area of investor relations and client services.
